You can get married in the UK if you’re 16 or over, free to marry and not closely related. You need permission from your parents or guardians if you’re under 18. Since 29th March 2014, same sex couples have been able to marry in England and Wales.
For a marriage to be legally binding in the UK the person officiating must be authorised for religious ceremonies or a superintendent registrar in a registry office.
The Celebration Ceremony
Once married you can hold a truly personalised marriage ceremony including the giving and receiving of rings, exchanges of personal vows and any family rituals, poems, personal readings or songs you wish. You can also hold your ceremony in a place special to you – on a boat, in a garden, on a beach, in your favourite restaurant, in your own home. Just use your imagination…
It’s my privilege to help you plan and to be part of your Marriage with no limits on your creativity, timing or location. For example I can help you add individual short ceremonies within the overall occasion, and you can involve family members and children to make the occasion unique and something you will all remember forever.
